As many of you know I am a recent transplant to the Southern part of the U.S. and have been learning about the culture, architecture, horticulture and hospitality on a daily basis over the last few years since my move, so when I was contacted by Southern Holiday Life Magazine and asked to submit a few articles for their Spring Issue I figured this was a chance to bring together the best of my Northern upbringing and my new Southern knowledge.

This particular issue focuses on Spring Entertaining so naturally I began with an Easter Brunch tablescape.

Second only to Peter Cotton Tail, eggs symbolize Easter like few other objects. In fact, I am not entirely sure why this is, as Bunny’s do not lay eggs and chickens play little to no role in Easter… but still every year we dye eggs and enjoy egg salad for weeks to after. Show case your love of this symbolic orb by offering soft boiled eggs to guest in footed ceramic cups placed on top of egg-shell blue plates stacked upon a white + pink placesetting.
