THE PERFECT MINT JULEP COCKTAIL

INGREDIENTS

3 ounces Kentucky bourbon
1 ounce mint simple syrup
2-3 cups chipped ice
mint sprig, for garnish

METHOD

Fill silver mint julep cup with chipped ice, top with bourbon and mint simple syrup. Add mint sprig for garnish and serve immediately.

Makes one serving, based on cup volume.

    I’m not from KY and likely won’t get invited to a Kentucky Derby party, but I do love mint juleps. And I have enough mint to make the simple syrup – just have to run out to get the bourbon *door slams as she heads to the car*
