OK – it has been 5 months since my last post…not so good…but here I am anyway.
Cinco has been one of my favorite holidays for quite a while now. Living in the North East, summer was my favorite season and Cinco de Mayo represented the real beginning of the Summer Season. It added a whole month and a half to my favorite time of the year. I would push the planting season to from Mothers Day to the first week of May and have my containers all ready to go for the first outside party of the year!
Now in Tampa my containers are half way planted…and already need to be watered almost everyday due to the heat! These are the adjustments of moving to a completely different climate. Today I am going out to collect the remainder of my herbs for my kitchen garden boxes off the porch.
Also on the list is selecting containers for my Curb Appeal Container courtyard project with Three Birds Tavern in St Pete, FL. We are adding containers to the already very welcoming shade garden. I will be adding photos to my website and Facebook page.
Off to the nursery!
