Recipe Testers Needed For An Appealing Plan The Book

People who love to eat are always the best people #juliachild @AnAppealingPlan

I am thrilled to be making a dream come true and to be working on my first book which includes tablescapes, floral arrangements, seasonal decorating ideas as well as many recipes. It will feature some of An Appealing Plan’s most popular cocktail and food recipes inspired by my family and mentors as well as my personal creations.

Before we publish these recipes, we need to test them to ensure that what works on my table will work in your kitchen too! That’s where you come in. An Appealing Plan is seeking recipe testers. If you are interested, please read the requirements below and then submit an application.

Recipe Tester Information & Requirements:

  • When you receive a recipe, you will be able to make the recipe and provide feedback within 10 days.
  • The recipe must be followed EXACTLY as written. (There will be room for you to provide your suggestions later.)
  • Be able to take a photo of the finished product and upload the photo to our post-recipe survey.
  • Take detailed notes and provide very detailed feedback via our survey.
  • This is a volunteer position. There will be no monetary compensation or reimbursement for ingredients and supplies. But, it will be exciting to be a part of bringing this book to life!
  • Besides basic kitchen equipment, we do require that our testers have a blender OR a food processor.
  • No sharing or publishing of the recipes or finished images. Remember: you will be part of a team testing top-secret recipes prior to publication! {there will be time for sharing after launch! I promise.}
  • Applying does not guarantee that you will be selected as a tester. We need a variety of skill sets to test the recipes, and only have a limited number of spaces available.

If you are interested please leave a comment below about why you think you should be a recipe tester AND apply through this link:

  1. Love cooking! Have two growing boys who would love to test. We are working with gluten free just t o try it. And stevia to slow down the use of sugar. Real life family that will tell you yay or yuck! Let me know if it is too late?

  2. I am from New Orleans, Louisiana and have cooked seriously since college. My mother was an excellent gourmet cook. The first time I try a new dish, I follow the recipe exactly to see what the recipe/author can teach me.

  3. I’d love to help. I love trying new recipes and am good at spotting what does or doesn’t work in them. I keep thinking that I’d like to add recipe testing to my biz so this would be a lovely place to start.

  4. I would love to help you out! Cooking is my first love and there is nothing I like better than trying out new recipes. Anything to help out a fellow cook!

  5. I would love to give it a shot. I have over 14 years of experience in professional cooking and have tested and debeloped multiple recipes

  6. I’m a busy working mama whose kids are moving into the next phase of life – which means I’ll have more time for entertaining with friends. BUT I’m feeling rusty in my cooking skills. I love to try new things and have been a follower of An Appealing Plan for awhile now. I always love your flavors and style. 🙂 I’m also the daughter of a chef – that helps right? lol.

  7. Hi Krayl, I would love to be involved in the process. I was a recipe tester for the Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin’s cookbook From Grouper to Grits. My husband and I love to cook and are always looking for new things to try. He also takes amazing photos of the dishes we create. – Wendy

  8. Apart from sewing, cooking would be my next passion.
I have 3 hungry teens to feed, one who is vegetarian, so new meal inspiration using fresh ingredients is always welcome .
I hope you will consider this step-mum from DownUnder a suitable tester.
    cheers

  9. I love cooking from scratch. I enjoy the ability to lose myself in the art of following a recipe and rewarding myself the successful results. I hope to be chosen for your test, and look forward to the edible challenge.

  10. I would love to test some recipes from your new book, Krayl! I love to cook and am always looking for new recipes or different twists on old favorites. Since I am the type of person that would buy your book, I am a perfect candidate to test the recipes!
