My New York Post Instagram Article Feature!
“I GOT AN INSTA MAKEOVER”. That’s how the title reads of my first ever mention in the New York Post from last Thursday’s center page spread in an article discussing how Instagram users, like my self, are finding ways to up their Instagram game and make the most of this visual platform. The New York Post Instagram article reads – “Entertaining Expert Krayl Funch has made a name for herself for her artful tabletop compositions on Instagram … Her after photo contained a story about beverage stations in the caption, nearly 30 hashtags about home decor and summer entertaining and earned an impressive 100 likes and 15 comments.” It features…

What Is Periscope? Videos From Behind The Scenes.
A recently launched live video stream app has taken over my phone – and I LOVE it! It’s called Periscope and if you haven’t heard of it yet believe me it is just a matter of time before you start asking, What is Periscope? Periscope is a live stream video app available on both IOS and Andriod systems – aka. iphones and driods – that is taking over data plans everywhere! Sure there are a few teens are using it, but so is just about every age demographic who has a cell phone with a video camera. What makes periscope any different than the 20 other apps that allow video…

Let’s Get Back In Touch…
Last week I was traveling for a client event and was also able to schedule a few meetings and dinners with friends while I was in the area. I had almost the entire week filled with projects, meetings or visits, very little downtime {except when I was lucky enough to stay overnight in a Bucks County guest house overlooking rolling grass fields with deer running through. Serious #gratitude}. Sometimes you just need to get away… On my travel day back I had planned to catch up on emails and other on-line projects on my to-do list that must be a mile long after being mainly off-line for the last week.…

You Amaze Me
Most kids, when they are little, are told they are amazing. We clap when babies do pretty much anything, smile, laugh, point, etc.. We praise toddlers for putting a square block inside a square hole. These activities show progress and are important markers of development but really, are just the exact same activities that most humans go through as they develop. {* side note: I know this is not always true, and I appreciate the struggles all the parents for whom this is not the case must deal with.} So why is it somewhere along the way we stop this. We stop praising each other for the…

Happy Mom. Happy Life. Finding Balance w/ Stacy Boegem
Many of my friends are new moms and have struggled with the changes every new moms face, all welcome of course but changes none the less. This was especially true for ones leaving high-profile or fast paced careers. It made me want to speak with someone who not only has been through theses same struggles, but perhaps also has a business around supporting these same women. Stacy Boegem was living the “good life” in New York City as an attorney. Commuting with her husband to and from work, eating out on a regular basis, as most New Yorke’rs do, and doing her own thing. So what happens when you mix…

From Boardroom to Dining Room Interview: Dr. Jaime Kulaga
As business women we sometimes forget we need systems in place to allow us to feel complete in our personal lives. During my interview with Dr. Jaime Kulaga we discuss learning your top 5 life roles, and how understanding who in your life represents each of these roles, can lead to a stronger personal support system, ultimately allowing you to feel more confident in every aspect of your life. I am lucky enough to call Jaime my friend and occasionally share a green drink with her over…

From Board Room to Dining Room Interview Series: Annette Saldana + Krayl Funch
In this interview with Annette Saldana we discuss the importance of an office door, hiring virtual & personal support, asking for what you want and having a great front porch to visit with neighbors. Here are a few of my favorite quotes: Regarding Family + Home Life: “I want my time with my boys to be spent enjoying them.”;” I am a big believer in hiring support.”; “I think we try to do it all on our own and we don’t realize the compromise that that has on our relationships, on own happiness…” Regarding Business: “Asking for what you want, is the most pivotal…

From Board Room to Dining Room Interview Series: Courtney Hawkins
When Courtney Hawkins enters a room you know it. She is one of those people who truly light up a space. Her enthusiasm for life radiates through her smile and is amazingly contagious. Whether you are talking about her kids, her business or simply the weather it is a passionate discussion usually filled with laughter. I was lucky enough to get her to sit in a chair for 30 minutes to chat about life, her new book and how she has found a way to separate work time from family time {well… most of the time.}. I hope you enjoy this lively conversation as much as I did, and please…
